Welcome!

I'm so happy you are here.

My name is Lydia Zamorano, and I use she/her pronouns.

The yoga and mindfulness stuff:

Trauma informed E-RYT 500, YACEP, tensegrity series facilitator, internationally certified Vijnana Yoga teacher, and PCA student and trainer.

Currently embarking on a journey to become certified to share more somatic yoga practices!

Thank you for the enthusiasm and engagement you have with this practice. My intention is that we can continue to weave the traditions of yoga into our lives, and in doing so nurture the world.

A little about me:

The last 20 years of my life have been spent walking in the mountains, climbing rocks, and studying yoga. Time spent researching tools that support our nervous systems, and studying embodiment, never felt like time squandered.

My learning journey and style is evergreen and ever curious, and my mindfulness journey takes place on my mat, in wild terrain, in community, in partnership, and in motherhood. Together, with my partner Sonnie, we have two wildlings who scramble around with us on the unceded territory of the Squamish Nation and beyond.

For many years I studied Ashtanga Vinyasa with Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor, Vipassana and Zen meditation, Iyengar Yoga, Qi Gong, and asana/pranayama practices with Angela Farmer and Victor van Kooten. The pull to India was powerful, and I traveled there twice on pilgrimages to learn more about the roots of yoga.

I've co-owned a studio, I teach online via my own platform, Yoga Anytime, Heart and Bones Yoga, Movement by NM, Lounge Flix, and Mary Dana Yoga.

With my colleague Erin Evans, we founded The Current Community 300 hr yoga facilitation program. This 12 month course has a faculty of 10 legends. Ask us about our next program!

Together with my colleagues Nicola Mosely and Sarah Kinsley, we founded the online program Trauma Informed Practice on and off the Matt, a professional development program in trauma informed care. Please reach out with inquiries.

My sincere hope is to create a space where your playfulness, joy, strength, connection, and safety may continue to emerge. I love trying new things, and increasing our options in this physical form. I'm passionate about intuitive movement, and learning is my heart's desire.

There is intentionally in the pace at which my classes are offered. I hope to support you to move at a rhythm that allows your nervous system to integrate the new information. I care deeply about offering choices so that you can continue to access your own empowerment.

The afterglow might leave you feeling both invigorated and calm.

If you are curios about inspiring your practice with fresh movements and insights, you're in the right place!

Before the pandemic, I had no idea I would land here, thoroughly enjoying creating on-demand classes for you to practice in the comfort of your own home. I intensely appreciate and value your suggestions and feedback, and love when folks reach out to me! My hope is to keep growing this intentional community in a way that feels uplifting and connected.
